- Welcome to Kelsey Schultz

Laura Brand
I lead retreats because I’ve witnessed, time and again, how deeply transformative it can be to step away from everyday life. Creating intentional space—away from routines and responsibilities—opens the door to clarity, depth, and the kind of insight that allows us to reconnect with who we truly are.
My own yoga journey began over twenty years ago, when I took my very first class while studying abroad in Costa Rica. Years later, in my early 30s, as a stressed-out mom yearning for room to breathe, I signed up for a yoga retreat on a whim. That experience changed everything—it sparked an unwinding of stress, grief, and anxiety I hadn’t even realized I was holding. It also lit a path toward healing, personal growth, and eventually becoming a yoga instructor and leading Yoga retreats.
I'm especially excited to co-lead this retreat and guide participants on a journey towards something new. There is something truly transformative about stepping away from our daily routines, immersing ourselves in a supportive community, and creating space for something more. My hope is that each participant leaves feeling inspired, refreshed, and more deeply connected to themselves.
At home in Sauk Rapids, I teach at KPY, and keep pace with the lively rhythm of raising two teenagers alongside four cats. My husband of 20 years—and our full, hair filled household—are my everything.
Kelsey Schultz
I am a busy, ambitious mother of 2 and co-owner of 3 yoga studios. Yoga and travel are how I slow down and find deep appreciation for the amazing gifts in my life, while also seeing how small and humble my life truly is.
I believe strongly in stepping out of our routines, seeking connections with new people, and continuing to seek new experiences.I have been a student of yoga for 15+ years and have shared this practice as instructor now for 6+ years. I lean towards a challenging practice that creates moving meditation, while developing mental and physical strength. Prior to my ‘career’ in yoga, I worked in Higher Ed, training and leading reflection and discussion… creating spaces of discovery
I look forward to seeing life with you all at the intersections of yoga, adventure, reflection and human connection!
